Haus Großjung is a restaurant directly on the Ruhr, in the beautiful Steele Horst. The beer garden invites you to linger. I loved the kitchen. We were also offered fresh chanterelles that were not on the menu. The hygiene rules are adhered to without any frills.

Nice inn. The beer garden is good but still expandable. Good food at the right prices. The service was friendly. Gladly again.

We camped next to the restaurant on the Ruhr. The food was fresh and delicious! The boss was very committed. I deduct one star because you can only pay in cash there.

Incredible how to be treated as a guest there. Then you lose the desire to stay in the beer garden. Even if times are difficult at the moment, you don't deal with guests. The sound makes the music...

Oh just saw that I saved a wrong review. Here is my real rating. It is a quaint, cozy place with good food. When the weather is nice, it is full but good for relaxing.

Boss unfriendly, no indication that card payment is not possible, liver cheese was out of stock. (Yes, liver cheese) Schnitzel with air upwards, beer garden actually quite cozy ... So I report neutral but this is a very strange shop kur Not happy again. Too bad, the location would have made a happy and uncomplicated one so nice ...

The food is ok, but has room for improvement. Unfortunately, we have seen the last few years that the staff, especially in the summer does not come after the orders. (30 min on 2 wheat in the beer garden) Another time we sat with a total of 2 couples and 4 children and wanted to eat something. Since the kitchen was not open yet - which was not obvious to us, we had to go for a drink again. It was in the afternoon! Nevertheless we like to go to the beer garden. The rooms are rustic.

Nice location directly at the river with a Biergarten under the trees. The cuisine is top notch German. The Schnitzel was amongst the best I ever ate and the service was great. I will definitively come back.
